Nana Turtles

We lost Mom/Nana, Carol Lee Johnson, on November 28th, 2022.  To honor her memory, instead of flowers we asked friends and family to donate to the Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach, Florida- a place she always made sure all of us visited whenever we visited Florida. 

The response was incredible- we hoped for $600 and ended up with $1855!  We decided to purchase 5 brick pavers to honor Mom's memory, one for each of the 4 kids and one for Dad.  After that, we decided to adopt 4 grown turtles that had been rehabbed and released at the center.  And, finally, we will be naming a baby hatchling Carol, in her honor, this spring.
